Job Description Broadcasts & Events, a division of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is dedicated to enhancing the skills and abilities of our employees and those we collaborate with. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Associate Producer. An Associate Producer helps to produce and coordinate productions and messages that invite all of God’s children to follow Jesus Christ. This position would work with Newsroom to help produce compelling products. Newsroom is the official news source for the church, and features news stories, commentaries, and other content. Responsibilities Participate in assigned meetings; help coordinate naming of projects and creations. Set up new contracts and vendors. Partner with producer for complete end to end management of assigned projects. Help to gain the necessary approvals to initiate a project. Counsel and collaborate with the Newsroom management team to understand their needs, purposes, missions, visions, ideals. Work with producer to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements to accomplish the work at the prescribed level of quality. Provide creative consultation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in a related field. Minimum of four years’ experience working in theatrical, broadcast and events production or an equivalent combination and experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must understand and experience in all aspects of event production, including but not limited to, technical direction, stage management, lighting, sound reinforcement, video projection, camera, and video engineering and intercommunication. Proven initiative and ability to champion a project from conception through to completion. An ability to lead a multi-discipline team (up to 10 people) in accomplishing assigned production deliverables from a client. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and projects in the face of multiple duties. Advanced writing, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in managing customer relationships. Proficient in using project management software and tools. Advanced ability to strategize, collaborate with, and communicate clearly to stake holders. Show an understanding of technical workflows. Industry expertise in best practices with proficient broadcast technical acumen.
