Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Manager to provide support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). Overview

ARS will provide Systems Engineering support for the acquisition process, applying broad theoretical and practical knowledge to design, operate, and sustain systems across the acquisition life cycle. This is a full-time position based in the Los Angeles area (LA AFB or El Segundo, CA). Responsibilities

Provide ISSM support as primary cybersecurity technical advisor to the Authorizing Official (AO), Program Manager (PM), and Information System Owner (ISO). Manage installation cybersecurity program for base enclaves or serve as system ISSM for enclave, reporting to the CS/CC as PM for base enclave. Integrate cybersecurity into the IT lifecycle in accordance with DoDI 8510.01. Complete and maintain required cybersecurity certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303; U.S. citizen required. Ensure AF IT cybersecurity documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals. Maintain current authorization to operate and approval to connect; implement corrective actions in POA&Ms. Coordinate with PM/AO staff to develop ISCM strategy and monitor changes to system and environment. Monitor IT environment for security events; assess changes for impact; evaluate security control performance. Report cybersecurity events or changes affecting AF IT authorization to AO and affected parties. Appoint ISSOs and provide oversight to ensure policy compliance IAW DoDI 8500.01; ensure ISSOs receive required training and certifications. Ensure proper lifecycle handling of AF IT per DoDI 5000.02 and 8510.01. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Technical Experience

Active Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizen. BA/BS degree. 10 years of related experience with at least 5 years in a DoD setting. All positions subject to background investigations; employment contingent upon successful completion including criminal history and identity check.
