Job Summary:We're seeking a talented and passionate part-time content creator to join our team and help us grow our blog readership. As our SEO-focused content strategist, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and optimizing engaging and informative video scripts, social media content and blog posts/texts that resonate with our target audience, create leads and rank well in search engines.Hours: 5-10 hours per week, flexible schedule Location: Remote (Must be a native English speaker)Responsibilities:Content Creation: Includes creating scripts, video footage, reels, etc. Help with auto-DM management. Write high-quality, original (AI outlined, but not written), and SEO-friendly blog posts, email newsletters, texts, and social media posts on a variety of parenting-related topics, tailored to our blog's niche.Image Sourcing: Incorporate relevant, high-quality images (typically, designed by you)Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all content is free of grammatical errors, typos, and stylistic inconsistencies.Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics (e.g., traffic, engagement) and make adjustments to content strategy as needed.Staying Current: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media & SEO best practices and parenting trends in order to create content that appeals to our current market audience.Proficient in Leveraging Platforms: (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) to increase brand reach, engagement, and community building.Digital/Paid Media Advertising: Expertise in developing and managing paid advertising campaigns (e.g., display, social ads) focused on driving top-of-funnel brand impressions and views. Public Relations (PR) & Media Relations: Experience in securing earned media coverage and building relationships with journalists and influencers to amplify brand messaging.SEO Optimization: Follow our keyword research suggestions, optimize titles, meta descriptions, headings, and content for relevant search terms to improve organic search rankings. Content Strategy: Collaborate with the blog owner/editor to develop a content calendar and brainstorm new content ideas.Qualifications:Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Take ownership of projects and tasks from conception through to completion.Native English speaker with excellent written communication skills.Proven experience creating content for social media platforms.Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research and on-page optimization.Familiarity with content management systems & project management tools.Passion for parenting and a genuine interest in the topics covered by our company.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Strong computer & phone skills including Google suite, videography, apps, project management software, Canva, etc. Teachability - Willingness to learn and adapt as we change as a small business. New platforms & software will arise.
