About the Fire Protection Group Cannistraro is a trusted leader in fire protection solutions for commercial, biotech, healthcare, industrial, education & residential facilities. Our group of qualified estimators, designers, project managers, shop & field personnel work together closely from estimating through final closeout on every project. We engineer & design all Fire Protection systems, wet, dry, deluge, pre-action & standpipe systems as well as specialty systems, foam, water mist systems and gas suppression. All projects are modeled with 3D software during a collaborative coordination process, with a focus on preconstruction planning & prefabrication in our multi-trade modular fabrication facility. Our growing Fire Protection group is currently positioned to offer additional fire protection solutions which include growth in Inspection & Maintenance, and additional life safety services throughout New England. About the Fire Protection Junior Designer Co-Op The Fire Protection Junior Designer Co-Op will be assisting fire protection coordinators with the operation, administration, and organization of project related activities in order to help successfully execute projects from start to finish. All pipe design will be completed using a three-dimensional 3rd party AutoCAD software. After finishing their time here, project coordinator co-ops will have developed professional etiquette, as well as gained experience in industry communication, general piping and building construction, and various software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks. Responsibilities: Assist with general piping layout, coordination with other trades, and field surveying Generate various install drawings, as-built drawings, and 3D equipment models Attend project coordination meetings and complete job site visits with coordination manager Perform other duties as needed Qualifications: Experience or working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills High-level problem solving abilities Ability to manage shifting priorities Detail-oriented and organizational skills If you require accommodation due to a disability to complete the application process, please contact Human Resources at 617-926-0092 or submit a request in writing to careers@cannistraro.com.
