Full Time Center for Family Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for our Latinx Outreach Advocate position in its Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV) program. This is a full-time position in a growing organization that positively influences the community. SERV provides support to hundreds of survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and human trafficking each year. They help people begin their journey toward healing and empowerment. SERV will assist all victims and survivors through competence and empowerment and provides a safe space for all that encourages recovery and self-care. Duties and Responsibilities
The Outreach Advocate is responsible for the case management of victim services. They provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and support for sexual violence survivors in the community and protect the rights of survivors to ensure they are treated with compassion and dignity. They provide education and counseling to survivors and individuals close to the survivor. The Outreach Advocate also presents educational programs when required in schools, community centers, church groups, and etc. Lastly, Sensitivity Training Programs to personnel at hospitals, police departments, and social agencies in the community. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Successfully complete the 40-hour New Jersey State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate training and the 40-hour Domestic Violence Training provided by Services Empowering Rights of Victims Excellent written and oral communication skills Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience with public speaking, delivering educational training and facilitating group activities Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years Vehicle with current insurance and registration Benefits
