Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is to analyze inventory data, cycle counts, and transaction activity to identify the root causes of inventory discrepancies and ensure ongoing accuracy. In addition, the role will support the ongoing development and testing of our Warehouse Management System (WMS), working closely with IT and operations teams as an operational liaison and power user during enhancement cycles.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and system transaction errors using WMS logs, SQL queries, and reporting tools
Analyze cycle count results and partner with Operations to implement corrective actions and improve inventory accuracy
Support data-driven inventory decisions through variance analysis, system audits, and visualization tools like PowerBI and Excel
Monitor and analyze inventory health metrics to support continuous improvement efforts
Develop and maintain models that support cycle counts, stock adjustments, and inventory movement patterns, while collaborating with Finance and DC leadership on shrink, accuracy, and throughput insights
Act as a functional liaison with IT to support WMS enhancements, testing, and user feedback
Participate in the creation of business requirements and user stories for inventory-related system improvements
Execute and document user acceptance testing (UAT) for WMS upgrades and functionality
Train operational users on best practices related to inventory transactions and system use
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in inventory control, root cause analysis, and distribution center operations
Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH), and PowerBI or equivalent BI tools
Solid understanding of inventory accuracy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the ability to apply insights to operational improvements
Experience working with WMS platforms (e.g. Korber, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP)
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
