$80,000 - $110,000 yearly. Responsibilities:
Represent clients in Charlotte, NC who are facing criminal charges. Negotiate with prosecutors to secure outcomes that protect clients’ best interests. Develop tailored defense strategies that reflect each client’s unique circumstances. Research and analyze applicable laws and statutes to strengthen case positions. Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. Manage a varied caseload with efficiency, ensuring deadlines are met and client communication remains a top priority. Ability to pivot and land at a moment's notice.
Qualifications:
Must have a JD degree and hold an active NC law license in good standing. Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in criminal defense or a related field. Strong skills in research, writing, and negotiation are essential. Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member. Demonstrate a client-first approach with high emotional intelligence. Consideration is given to small firm owners looking to focus solely on practicing law. Must be able to pivot and land at a moment's notice. About Company Martine Law
