Our client is seeking an experienced
Criminal Defense Attorney
to join their Washington, D.C. team. This role is ideal for a litigator who thrives in high-stakes environments and wants the opportunity to handle serious felony and misdemeanor cases at the local, state, and federal levels. Represent clients in all phases of criminal proceedings, from arraignment through trial Prepare and argue motions, conduct negotiations, and handle plea agreements Draft motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs with precision and clarity Advise clients on case strategy, rights, and potential outcomes Appear in court regularly for hearings, motions, and trials Collaborate with investigators, fellow attorneys, and support staff to ensure comprehensive case preparation Manage a demanding caseload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active and in good standing with the D.C. Bar 3-5+ years of proven criminal defense experience, with significant trial exposure Exceptional oral advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills Strong organizational ability to manage a high caseload Dedication to ethical, client-centered advocacy Why This Is a Great Opportunity
