POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouseman is a vital team member at Flatrock Compression—responsible for maintaining accurate physical inventory levels of spare parts, supplies, and tools. This role ensures timely and precise support to the field services team, contributing to high-quality service for our customers. The Warehouseman manages shipping, receiving, and distribution of parts, performing various materials control duties associated with receiving, stocking, and counting inventory. Regular coordination with vendors and daily use of the Electronic Inventory Control System (EICS) are key aspects of this position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Pick up orders from vendors and verify against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed. Identify back orders and maintain communication with vendors for availability updates. Deliver parts to stockrooms or coordinate with vendors for delivery. Maintain clean and organized stockrooms, ensuring items are correctly labeled and updated in the EICS. Assist the Materials Coordinator with inventory scheduling, planning, and execution. Conduct inventory counts in line with the Physical Inventory Policy. Maintain a tidy workplace and foster a cohesive relationship with all departments. Exercise independent judgment based on job experience. Perform additional tasks as instructed by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to remain task-oriented and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Capable of participating in a call rotation and accommodating the 24/7 nature of the oil and gas industry. Strong verbal communication skills and a positive outlook. Excellent numerical perception and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Effective time management and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness. Ethical behavior in dealings with suppliers. Supports at the business unit level the continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in materials management and/or inventory warehousing. Preferred 1 year of experience in the natural gas industry. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record history. Legal ability to work in the U.S. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Work under pressure and occasional long or irregular hours, including travel as needed. Ability to stand, walk on uneven terrain, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required. Exposure to high noise levels, extreme temperatures, and potentially hazardous chemicals and materials. WORK ENVIRONMENT Varied working conditions in natural gas compression, including indoor compressor stations and outdoor sites. Exposure to diverse weather conditions and temperature extremes. Emphasis on safety while working with heavy equipment and machinery. Participation in a safety training program and continuous improvement of safety guidelines.
