Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician to serve as core faculty to our Family Medicine Residency program. Join our mission to educate and prepare community-based physicians to care for rural populations while also providing outpatient care in our hospital-owned practice, Sampson Medical Group. We seek a skilled and experienced physician who maintains a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients. Qualified candidates should have both inpatient and outpatient experience, and be comfortable with joint injections, dermatology procedures, and OMT. A provider should expect a 70/30 preceptor/clinical workload. Hospital rotation will be 1-2 weeks every 6 to 8 weeks. Opportunity highlights include: Responsible for supervising and teaching residents Strong emphasis on teaching and patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, with opportunities to develop administrative skills Daily outpatient volume of 20-25 while in the clinic Wide scope of services provided at the hospital including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology Family-friendly community with an affordable cost of living Competitive compensation and benefits package In addition to a competitive compensation and benefits plan, qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
