Facility in Erie, PA seeking APP Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $130/hr Opportunity Highlights
- Flexible Scheduling: We're looking for providers available for 12+ shifts per month (full-time) or 6+ shifts per month (part-time), covering Monday-Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A minimum of 3 shifts per month consistently is required for consideration.
- Varied Caseload: You'll see patients of all ages for typical urgent care presentations including cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and minor burns. You'll also perform procedures such as splinting, X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood/IVs/injections, and I&Ds. High-acuity cases are referred to the local ER.
- Independent Practice: You'll work autonomously, with remote physician escalation available if needed. Sites are typically staffed with 1-3 providers per day, alongside medical assistants and radiology technologists.
- EMR System: Charting is done using Epic.
- Board Status: Must be Board Certified as an NP or PA.
- State Licensure: Active Pennsylvania state license is required to apply.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, OR
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine.
- Skills & Comfort Level (Must specify in submission):
- Suturing/Wound Care/I&Ds
- Splinting
- X-Rays/EKGs
- Drawing Blood/IV/Injections
- Working Independently
- Pediatrics (comfortable seeing patients of all ages)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
- DEA & CSR Licenses: Required.
- Background Checks: Upon offer acceptance, all agencies must provide a drug screen and background check completed within the last 12 months.
- NPDB Self-Query: A self-query from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), no more than 30 days old, MUST be submitted with your presentation to be considered.
- Average Patient Volume: Expect to see approximately 3-4 patients per hour.
- On-Site Support: Medical assistants and radiology technologists are always on-site.
- Privileges: Full and Temporary privileges are available.
- Credentialing Time: Approximately 90 days.
