The work may include characterization of biomarker concentrations in blood or other bio-fluids using Simoa/MOSAIC technology. Guided by postdoctoral fellows, the candidate will work independently to measure biomarkers related to COVID-19 and other viral infections, contributing to insights for potential diagnostic and treatment strategies.
Responsibilities
Independently performs routine and non-routine experiments ranging from moderate to complex; activities may include preparing binding reagents, evaluating reagent viability, optimizing and validating assays, screening biological samples, and preparing materials.
Calculate, transcribe, and analyze data using moderate to advanced statistical techniques.
Perform literature searches, prepare presentations and progress reports, and assist in manuscript preparation; communicate progress professionally with collaborators and the scientific community.
Collaborate with the PI or Research Manager to establish new and modify existing research techniques.
Coordinate schedules of tests and procedures; document experimental work accurately and in detail.
Coordinate lab activities such as bio-safety trainings.
Assist in orientation and training of new staff.
Order and inventory laboratory supplies.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Experience Prior laboratory experience, either through academic coursework, internships, or employment, 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and instruments used in research experiments.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and scientific software tools.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and challenges.
