Overview LHH is partnering with an AmLaw 100 firm to source a higher-level tax professional for the team. The role will report to the CFO and support the firm\'s global tax strategy.

Responsibilities: Oversee all tax compliance activities for the firm, including the preparation, review, and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, with a focus on partnership and pass-through entity structures. Lead the firm\'s response to evolving pass-through entity tax regulations, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax positions in all relevant jurisdictions. Develop and implement global tax strategies to support the firm\'s business objectives, manage risk, and optimize tax efficiency across multiple jurisdictions. Advise firm leadership on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and new initiatives, including cross-border activities and international expansion. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the firm, and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures. Direct the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions, including ASC 740 calculations and related disclosures. Manage and coordinate tax audits, including interactions with tax authorities and external advisors. Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as it relates to tax matters. Provide technical guidance and training to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Identify and drive process improvements and technology enhancements within the tax function. Support special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and other firm initiatives, from a tax perspective. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation or Accounting preferred. Active CPA license preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; experience in a large law firm, public accounting, or professional services environment strongly preferred. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with deep expertise in partnership and pass-through entity taxation. Demonstrated experience with global tax strategy, international tax compliance, and cross-border tax planning. Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 and tax provision processes. Proven ability to manage tax compliance, planning, and audit activities for complex organizations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing staff. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals. Proficiency with Elite or similar law firm financial management systems is strongly preferred. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
