Fellow is seeking a meticulous and inquisitive Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our current and future products. The ideal candidate possesses an innate curiosity, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for improving product experiences.

This role will be instrumental in the thorough testing and qualification of products before release. Responsibilities include writing comprehensive test cases, executing detailed test plans, precisely reporting bugs, and actively assisting the engineering team in root cause analysis for issues reported from the field. A successful hire will proactively identify issues and collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and effective resolution.

This role will begin as a 40-hour-per-week (1099) contract for an initial 3-month period, with the potential for extension based on business needs.

This role is based in our office in San Francisco, CA and requires in-office presence. What You'll Do Product Testing : Play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by executing existing test cases and proactively developing new ones. This involves adapting to the continuous introduction of new features across our diverse range of hardware and mobile applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Bug Reporting and Triage : Serve as the crucial voice of our customer by diligently identifying and documenting bugs and issues. This involves a keen focus on aspects that could negatively impact the customer experience. The responsibility extends to ensuring that all bug reports are detailed, actionable, and effectively triaged for prompt resolution. Reporting : Generate comprehensive test reports for all testing exercises and activities. These reports are vital for providing clear, data-driven insights into product quality, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Data Collection : Spearhead the collection of critical data by instrumenting products and meticulously performing experiments. The insights garnered from this data are instrumental in fine-tuning and calibrating our firmware, directly contributing to enhanced product performance and user experience. Hardware Support : Provide essential support to our hardware technicians. This includes assisting in the modification and updating of test units as needed, ensuring that our testing infrastructure remains robust and up-to-date. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline preferred 5+ years of consumer electronics experience Direct experience collaborating effectively with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle Proven expertise in Firmware and Mobile Application Testing in iOS and/or Android Proficient in testing methodologies and reporting bugs using tools Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range:

$40-45/hr DOE
