This position will be with Desert Environmental, LLC, an affiliate of WaterBridge Operating, LLC.

Summary of Position:

The Scale House Attendant is our first point of contact for customers disposing of waste at the Landfill. They are responsible for calculating payments, checking loads, and ensuring the safety of the customers and employees by observing safety rules and regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.

As a Scale House Attendant, you will be responsible for:

Weighing in all trucks that enter the Landfill. Providing prompt and courteous service to customers. Ensuring trucks are correctly positioned on scales for accurate weights and test scales daily. Operating a register, handling cash and credit card transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. Inspecting loads and query drivers as required. This may require the ability to climb up onto vehicles to inspect loads. Entering and verifying load information and customer/truck information. Operating a computerized truck scale to determine the weight of the load. Instructing drivers to the appropriate disposal area. Redirecting loads based upon load contents, specifically, not accepting loads containing hazardous or unauthorized waste or other materials not in compliance with regulations for tipping at the facility. Operating the computer to process proper charges to be assigned for each load and generate charge tickets on the printer. Performing routine data entry into a computer, making basic mathematical calculations, and posting and keeping legible records accurately. Filing weight tickets for each load, recording and securing cash receipts Maintaining records of all incoming/outgoing loads that cross the scales. Answer incoming calls; respond to the public's questions regarding prices. Maintaining cleanliness of scale deck and approach, scale booth, and surrounding area(s). Conducting all business activities in accordance with health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements. Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required. Industry experience is preferred but not required. Live in Pecos, TX, or within a 30-mile radius from Pecos, TX, required.

Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.

Live in Orla, TX, or within a 60-mile radius from Orla, TX, required.

Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Operates in a field environment.

May be subject to environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, etc. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:

Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods. Walking on uneven and vegetated terrain; sampling activities such as hand auguring for soil sample collection. Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position.

14/7 (14 days on 7 days off) Rotational Schedule 12-hour shifts
