Primary Responsibilities
Draw 1-5 vials of blood from every patient. Prepare patients for examination by conducting preliminary physical tests, including taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature. Greet patients, take vital signs, review current medications, and record information in medical records. Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients within the scope of practice. Set up exam/procedure rooms according to patient visit needs. Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines. Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the provider. Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider. Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data. Location

Required Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans. 1 year of experience working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting. Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture. Experience with CS-Link/Epic. Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience working as an MA in Internal Medicine/Family Practice. Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions. Phlebotomy certification. Understanding of medical terminology.
