About The Position Wilmington, Ohio Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Locum Tenens Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) with inpatient experience for locum tenens coverage at a community hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. This assignment offers a balanced schedule of day and night shifts with immediate start availability. Assignment Overview Location: Wilmington, OH Facility Type: Community Hospital | 27 Total Beds | 22-Bed ED for admissions Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Hospitalist NP Coverage Start Date: ASAP (Temps available for clean files) Shifts per Month: ~30 available (mix of days and nights) Schedule & Coverage Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Staffing Model: MDs: 24-hour coverage NPs: Day & Night coverage alongside physicians Night Coverage: NP on-site with MD backup available Credentialing: Temp privileges available for clean files (~60 days standard) EMR: Physdoc Clinical Details Annual Patient Volume: ~8,000 admissions Hospital Beds: 27 total Census: ~2 patients/hour during peak admission periods Procedural Requirements (especially nights): Intubations Central line placement Emergency response management for codes Support Available: Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Urology, Wound Care Candidate Requirements Certification: NCCNP (Certified) Experience: Minimum 3 years inpatient Hospitalist or Acute Care NP experience required Licensure: Active OH NP license (or ability to obtain quickly) Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Skills: Comfortable managing admissions, cross-covering inpatients, and handling acute situations independently with physician backup Why This Assignment?
