Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled electrician who can understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams, install commercial recessed lighting and fixtures, and retrofit outdated lighting with energy-efficient options. The electrician will repair and maintain electrical panels, diagnose and fix problems in wiring or electrical components, and inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair. Adhering to state and local building regulations and documenting the work completed and materials used are essential. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, performing wiring, conduit bending, and installation of electrical components, troubleshooting electrical issues using volt/ohm meters and other diagnostic tools, reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, ensuring compliance with NEC codes and safety standards, and collaborating with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical field, with a preference for commercial electrical work.
  • Proficiency in electrical work and conduit installation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with wiring, schematics, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm. The role involves working on healthcare building projects, hospital projects, and various other commercial projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
