Nature & Purpose of Position:The Academic Success Center will support students in advancing their competencies in ASL. Tutoring sessions offered will be conducted either face-to-face or online to support individual requests or small-groups. The center may also provide support for dedicated lab hours and structured study sessions as needed to enhance learning opportunities. A typical day will include but is not limited to: assisting students with study strategies, content review/interpretation, mastery in understanding/comprehension, facilitating language practice during lab hours, and guiding collaborative learning during scheduled study sessions.
Other Requirements for the Position:- 3.0 overall GPA (on 4.0 scale)
- B or better in ASL coursework
- Possess the potential and ability to develop language skills to students/peers
- Patience
