Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Stow, OH

Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, improving, and supporting all production processes associated with the launch, manufacture, and test of products in an assigned value stream or product line. Provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and prioritizes workloads based on production needs. Working with a team of experienced engineers, you will be responsible for interpreting complex designs, creating 3D models, programming multi-axis CNC machines, and implementing process improvements to support production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with design specifications.
  • Program equipment, create CNC code, and perform tool path simulation.
  • Serve as primary contact for design engineering or program management on manufacturing processes.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing methods, Bills of Materials, and labor standards in ERP systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (C.I.) and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Design, construct, and validate tooling, fixtures, gages, and equipment.
  • Optimize workflow and cell design with a focus on waste reduction and process improvement.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing problems in a machining environment.
  • Support supplier development activities with Supply Chain and Quality teams.
  • Mentor and guide lower-level manufacturing engineers.
  • Support customer complaints and concerns.
  • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives companywide.
  • Complete required training and adhere to safety protocols, including use of PPE.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of CAD and CAM software experience; Mastercam preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with tooling selection and fixture design.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex 2D blueprints and 3D models.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machining equipment, including multi-axis (5+) programming.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Ability to implement changes and train employees in a production environment.
  • Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred but not required.
