Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect end-to-end Splunk environments, including infrastructure, data sources, and user roles.
Lead deployment and configuration of Cribl Stream to manage and transform log data before it reaches Splunk.
Collaborate with security, operations, and application teams to identify and onboard new log sources.
Create and maintain architecture and process documentation.
Optimize Splunk indexing, search performance, and data storage efficiency.
Develop and implement alerting, dashboards, and reports based on business and operational requirements.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
Stay up to date with the latest in observability tools and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years of hands-on Splunk architecture and administration.
Strong knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk ES.
Proven experience with Cribl Stream, including pipelines, functions, and worker group setup.
Expertise in ingesting data from various sources: syslog, REST APIs, cloud services, etc.
Proficient in SPL (Search Processing Language).
Experience with data parsing, normalization, and enrichment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
