Overview

Phlebotomy Technician Skills Assistant role at CALRegional. This is a part-time position with an evening schedule (5:00 PM – 8:30 PM). No teaching experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with the skills within the scope of practice for their designated subject.
• Assists lead instructor in evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
• Assists lead instructor with required skill labs, grading class assignments and exams.
• Prepares students to go on to an externship.
• Helps students develop professional values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession.
• Provides a professional role model for students.
• Maintains current knowledge in the subject matter and uses effective communication strategies.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT-1).
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in blood collection methods (capillary, syringes, vacutainer, butterfly).
• Comfortable speaking to large groups; ability to multitask and think critically.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
