Join a Company that Empowers you to Build your Future

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with deep experience in Power BI / front-end BI/reporting, strong data modelingcapabilities, and advanced SQLskills. This person will be responsible for designing and building interactive dashboards, transforming data for reporting, ensuring robust data models, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive insights and decisions.

A career with purpose.

A career built on making dreams come true.

A career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

Own the development and maintenance of financial operational dashboards (e.g. P&L, cash flow, revenue recognition, AR/AP, ledger reconciliation, forecasts vs. actuals).

Collaborate with Finance / Accounting to validate assumptions, ensure alignment with GAAP / regulatory requirements, and support audit/close cycles.

Monitor data flows, detect anomalies, and enforce data quality and reconciliation procedures.

Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to leadership (scenario modeling, variance analyses, driver-level breakdowns).

Semantic Layer / Upstream Modeling

Design and build a centralized semantic model / semantic layer / metrics layer (e.g. in Power BI shared datasets, Tabular models, or equivalent) that becomes the canonical source for reporting across domains.

Define and document business logic, metric definitions, hierarchies, relationships, aggregations, naming standards, and territory mappings.

Ensure the semantic layer enforces consistency, reusability, and versioning (so that downstream reports don’t diverge).

Partner with data engineering and data warehousing teams to align inputs into this semantic layer, and upstream data sources (data lake, warehouse, source systems).

Encourage and support self-service reporting atop the semantic model.

Front-end / BI Development (Power BI focus)

Lead the creation of well-designed, maintainable, high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards (desktop, service, paginated).

Use Power Query (M) and DAX extensively for transformations, measures, row-level security, time-intelligence, and performance tuning.

Manage deployment, workspace structure, refresh scheduling, security/permissions, and dataset partitioning.

Optimize performance (query folding, aggregations, incremental refreshes, performance tuning).

Provide style and UI best practices, reusable templates, visual design standards.

Data Modeling & SQL / Data Engineering Collaboration

Develop and maintain relational and dimensional models (star schemas, snowflake models, slowly changing dimensions, bridge / fact tables).

Write and optimize advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, subqueries) for data transformation, validation, and staging.

Work closely with data engineers to design ETL/ELT pipelines feeding into the semantic and reporting layer.

Validate upstream data, ensure lineage and traceability, flag data integrity issues.

Define and enforce standards: naming conventions, metric naming, version control, data dictionary / metadata repository.

Create and maintain documentation: data dictionaries, model diagrams, pipeline flows, BI user guides.

Mentor and coach more junior analysts/BI developers; review code, provide guidance.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Risk, Ops, Finance, Legal/Compliance) to gather requirements, validate logic, and iterate on dashboards.

Drive continuous improvement: evaluate new tools / features (e.g. Power BI Fabric, incremental refresh, composite models), propose enhancements to architecture.

Requirements

Ideal

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, etc.).

5+ years of experience in analytics / BI / data roles, ideally in fintech, financial services, or operations-heavy environments.

Deep, hands-on experience with Power BI: DAX, Power Query/M, Power BI Service (workspaces, row-level security, deployment).

Expert-level SQL skills: able to write, optimize, and debug complex queries and data transformations.

Experience building or managing a semantic / metrics / semantic modeling layer for BI reporting.

Background working with multiple upstream data sources (OLTP systems, APIs, data warehouses, flat files).

Excellent ability to collaborate with finance and business leadership to validate assumptions, build trust, translate needs.

Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical detail to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience enforcing data governance, metrics consistency, version control, and documentation.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Prior fintech or banking / payments / lending domain experience.

Familiarity with cloud analytics / data warehouse platforms (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL DW, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)..

Experience with Power Platform / alternative BI or semantic tools (SSAS Tabular, Analysis Services, Looker, etc.).

Exposure to Python, R, or similar for exploratory analyses, predictive modeling.

Experience with CI/CD or versioning for BI artifacts (deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Prior experience in auditing, compliance, financial controls, or working with external auditors.

Familiarity with advanced Power BI / Fabric features (composite models, DirectQuery, Azure Analysis Services, incremental refresh etc.).

Experience scaling reporting in high-growth environments.

Experience in mentoring, leading teams, or managing BI/analytics personnel.
