Overview

Join the team at Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company as an Account Manager. This role is responsible for selling and ordering product for customer accounts, serving as the frontline liaison, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position involves rotating company product by date in both the market and inventory, and assisting the merchandising team by keeping products stocked and available onsite.

Job Responsibilities

  • Order product at accounts on an assigned sales route. Determine product needs and place and transmit appropriate orders. Use technology for order processing and inventory and other applications relevant to the job.
  • Execute and sell big event marketing, pillar programming, innovation, and mandated features and ad activity to ensure customer satisfaction and company standards are met. May sell in Customer Marketing Agreements (CMA).
  • Build, change, and remove product displays and POS (Point of Sale). Ensure proper pricing. Clean product space and secure damaged or defective product. Repack product where possible. Transport, replace, and maintain POS advertising as appropriate for the account.
  • Communicate account activities with the customer to ensure quality and timely service. Work with and collaborate internally with merchandisers and drivers; maintain communication about goals, projects, and day-to-day needs of accounts.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to merchandising and customer service standards. Stock and merchandise products in the allocated beverage section including coolers, racks, and secondary displays.
  • Maintain end-to-end ownership of the account through appropriate action and/or communication.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience required.
  • Customer service experience in a retail environment or in a sales position with sales targets preferred.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills required.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within policy guidelines (no major violations within the last three years).
  • Use of personal vehicle during work hours with reimbursement; proof of insurance covering business use required at time of hire.
  • Flexible schedule; may be required to work some holidays to meet customer demands.

Physical Requirements

Field work intensive. Daily and weekly travel to local accounts and prospect sites. Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to professionally represent the employer at customer locations.

Compensation

Pay: $47,000 - $54,000 per year.
