East Coast Emergency, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, logistics coordination, inventory control, and reporting. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to guide warehouse staff and ensure processes run efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Shipping: oversee and participate in the receiving and inspection of incoming shipments for accuracy and quality; coordinate outgoing shipments with proper packaging, labeling, and on-time dispatch; maintain organized staging areas; coordinate with satellite facilities to ensure accurate product tracking.
  • Logistics Coordination: plan and coordinate transportation schedules with carriers; troubleshoot delays and damaged shipments; maintain communication with vendors, suppliers, and carriers; identify and drive warehouse improvement initiatives with management.
  • Inventory Management: lead cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation; ensure accurate inventory records; address discrepancies promptly.
  • Reporting: prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, shipping, and receiving metrics.
  • Customer & Employee Interaction: serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries related to shipping, order status, and product availability; train and mentor warehouse staff; promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment; lead a core team of two people.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; related field education is a plus.
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of shipping/receiving, logistics, and inventory management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds, operating warehouse equipment, and effective communication.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Compensation: $23 - $27 per hour, based on experience.
  • Benefits: Health (Medical, Dental, Vision), 401K, paid time off and holidays.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
