Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handling all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly, maintaining warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping, and ensuring all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Operates sit down forklift and/or EPJs.
- Loads and unloads RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures.
- Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
- Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
- Processes outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
- Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
- Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
- Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
- Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
- Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
- Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage.
- Reports all accidents/incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
