We are hiring a Receptionist for the Service Department at Nextran Truck Centers in Orlando, FL. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for customers seeking vehicle service, ensuring a welcoming experience and coordinating communication between customers and service staff. The role supports daily operations through administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets customers warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Answers incoming calls, directs inquiries, and schedules service appointments
  • Maintains accurate customer records and service logs
  • Coordinates with service advisors and technicians to relay updates
  • Handles customer concerns or escalates issues to appropriate personnel
  • Processes payments and assists with invoicing when needed
  • Keeps the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with materials
  • Supports the service department with filing, data entry, and reporting tasks
  • Confirms appointments and follows up on missed or rescheduled visits
  • Assists with warranty paperwork or service documentation as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of receptionist or customer service experience (automotive industry a plus)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for accessibility
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and customer-first attitude

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Saturday (rotating Saturdays), with flexibility during peak service hours

Physical Demands

  • Sitting/Standing: Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer or answering phones; occasional standing and walking to assist customers or retrieve documents
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, handling paperwork, and operating office equipment
  • Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
  • Reaching/Bending: Regular reaching at or below shoulder level; occasional bending or stooping
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to read printed materials and computer screens and hear/respond to inquiries
  • Mobility: Ability to move throughout the dealership or service area to assist with customer flow
