What You Will Do In This Role

• Greet patients and guests upon arrival and ensure their comfort.
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations in communication and cooperation, assist patients, licensed practitioners, co-workers and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Record and route telephone and in-person messages accurately, completely, and promptly.
• Maintain an accurate record of visitors each day, personal belongings dropped off, visitation logs, etc.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hospital emergency code response procedures with ability to call codes through the speaker system in a correct and audible manner.
• Route incoming mail promptly and to the correct departments or individuals. Maintain awareness of highly confidential and/or important documents received at the hospital (as assigned).
• Assure lobby area is clean and presentable, with appropriate beverages and snacks for patients and visitors.
• Assist Assessment and other departments as required.
• Offer assistance to the Business Development/Community Relations Department with respect to special projects and community involvement.
• Able to maintain professionalism in a variety of stressful situations.

What We're Looking For

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous clerical and customer service experience preferred.
• Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
