Last Energy seeks a Technical Recruiter to lead recruitment efforts for our engineering team. This role will be instrumental in identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier technical talent to support the company’s rapid growth. The recruiter will work closely with engineering leadership and the talent team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality candidate experience.

This position is based in Austin and reports directly to the VP of Talent, while working closely with the broader Last Energy team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for engineering roles, from sourcing through offer acceptance
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to scope hiring needs and refine job descriptions
  • Actively source high-caliber candidates through LinkedIn, networking, and other creative sourcing methods
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview logistics with hiring teams
  • Maintain timely and effective communication with candidates, providing a positive and transparent experience
  • Drive scheduling for interviews, including technical assessments, on-site visits, and follow-ups
  • Maintain and organize candidate pipelines in Last Energy's applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Provide regular updates and data-driven insights to hiring managers and leadership
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts, including job postings and recruiting materials
  • Partner with the operations team on logistics for candidate travel, interview days, and recruiting events
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth, hardware engineering environment
  • Familiarity with engineering roles and terminology, particularly in power generation and other relevant hardware fields
  • Strong command of ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently
  • Passion for building strong teams and fostering a high-quality candidate experience
