Director, Executive Recruiting - Human Resources at LHH
LHH is partnering with an organization in North Kansas City, MO, and assisting them search for a new HR Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead HR for a growing North American operation within a global organization. You’ll work closely with leadership, influence strategy, and make a meaningful impact on employee experience and organizational success. We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Manager to lead human resources operations for their Kansas City office and support broader North American HR initiatives.
This is a blended strategic and tactical role that will sit on the Kansas City management team and serve as a key partner to business leaders across several business functions. The HR Manager will oversee day-to-day HR activities, coach managers, and drive talent and performance management processes. This role will also support HR initiatives across the U.S. and Canada, with future opportunities to expand scope and influence.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Kansas City and North American teams.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Lead compensation reviews, salary structuring, and policy deployment.
- Manage and mentor the HR Coordinator, who supports recruiting and payroll.
- Oversee biweekly, multi-state payroll using UKG.
- Support recruitment efforts and onboarding processes.
- Drive HR reporting, analytics, and talent assessments (e.g., 9-box).
- Partner with Canadian HR leadership to align processes and support.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects across North America.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist and business partner responsibilities.
- Proven ability to coach and influence senior leaders and frontline managers.
- Experience with hourly and salary employee populations.
- Strong foundation in compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience with HR systems (UKG preferred).
- Ability to travel occasionally to Canada and work cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
