Wonderful HR Assistant role in Fresno, CA - Temporary to Hire Opportunity. Base pay range: $21.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This Jobot Consulting job is hosted by Sunshine Pennington.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks and drug tests.
• Coordinating and conducting new hire orientation, onboarding, and safety training.
• Administering benefits and explaining benefit compensation to employees.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Handling timekeeping and scheduling for employees.
• Managing professional correspondence and communication with employees.
• Providing support for leave of absence (LOA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.
• Staying current with changes in employment law and ensuring the company’s compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with hands-on experience in onboarding, safety training, new hire orientation, recruitment, background checks, drug testing, benefit administration, employee records management, timekeeping, policy development, scheduling, professional correspondence, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and Employment Law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
