CASHIER (PART TIME) Job at Compass One Healthcare in Danbury

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a part-time CASHIER position at Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Schedule is subject to change. More details upon interview. Prior cashier experience is preferred. Fixed pay rate: $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion and enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers; follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintains assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that the cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas; keeps pastry case stocked.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures and sanitation requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
