Overview

Job title: Janitor / Custodial role at Management & Training Corporation (MTC) – IAH Detention Facility, Livingston, Texas.

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday

What you\'ll do

This role performs a variety of general custodial tasks and keeps assigned areas of the facility clean and in an orderly condition.

Essential Functions

• Maintain the grounds and inside the facility by removing and disposing of litter and debris.


• Perform general labor and maintain facility appearance by cleaning hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other areas as assigned.


• Lift, carry, open, and unpack boxes using a hand truck or dolly when necessary.


• Move furniture, strip, refinish and buff floors; this may require lifting over 50 lbs and extended periods of standing/walking.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• One (1) year of general janitorial experience or related experience preferred.


• Must successfully complete required preservice training.


• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
