Position Overview
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The ED Tech/Clinical Secretary provides clerical support to the unit, and will also provide clinical services to patients within the scope of their certification.
Job Requirements
Minimal Requirements:
- Acute care and clinical secretary experience
- Successful completion of Emergency Medical Technician program
- Emergency Medical Technician: CA (EMT CA) or Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: CA (EMT-P CA) or Certified Nursing Assistant CA (CNA CA)
- Approved CPR certification through AHA (CT CPR BLS)
- Completion of approved Unit Clerk class or equivalent
- Must pass Basic EKG test May not be Monitor observer until EKG test is passed within 6 months of employment.
