The Parts Authority is hiring: Delivery Driver in College Park

Overview

Delivery Driver role at The Parts Authority. We have immediate career opportunities for delivery drivers in our rapidly expanding division. Company vehicle provided. Our drivers are the company representatives that interact with clients daily and must have excellent customer service skills.

Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment and transmissions. Headquartered in Long Island, New York, Parts Authority is rapidly expanding and today has more than 300 locations servicing customers across the United States.

Hours and compensation include an hourly rate of $16.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and time schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles while maintaining safety and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile money collected related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the company vehicle and report issues as needed.
• Assist with other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling) as assigned and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years or older)
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (auto body parts drivers may need to lift up to 75 lbs)

• Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
• Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills with professionalism and tact
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
• Must meet all minimum requirements to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority
