Summary

CHS is looking for a Propane Driver to join our team in Pipestone. This individual will be hauling propane to local customers in the area. The typical schedule for this role is Monday–Friday, daytime hours, with some overtime and weekend work during our busier seasons. Drivers are home each night for supper. No hazmat endorsement? No problem! CHS is willing to help the right candidate obtain their hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and on-time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
• Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
• Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Class A or B CDL
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

• Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
• Must meet DOT and Company requirements
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
• Bulk liquid experience preferred
• Pre-employment screening may be required and will include job requirements and industry guidelines (drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse as applicable).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, and to stand, walk, sit, bend, and kneel as needed.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and may include incentives depending on position and eligibility. Base pay range: $21.63/hr - $34.62/hr. This range is provided by CHS Inc. and actual pay will be based on skills and experience. Your recruiter can share more details.
