Overview

KUTV/KMYU/KJZZ in Salt Lake City has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Sports Multimedia Journalist/Anchor/Reporter.

We are a CBS Television affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Inc., and we cover sports at all levels in Utah, including major teams and high school athletics, with live broadcasts across multiple stations and a large digital following.

Responsibilities

• Multimedia content creation, scriptwriting, and maintaining a strong social media presence to engage with the audience.
• Collaborate with the news team to ensure comprehensive sports coverage.
• Work at a fast pace with tight deadlines and balance multiple projects, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Produce nightly and weekend sports programs and contribute to live sports broadcasts across stations.

Qualifications

• Extensive digital experience.
• Self-starter who can generate story ideas daily.
• Demonstrated enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Active social media presence to build your brand and generate original story ideas.
• Proficiency in multimedia content creation and strong on-air presence.
• Knowledge of social media and digital content strategy.

Requirements

• Previous MMJ, reporting & anchoring experience required.
• At least two years of on-air experience.
• Live reporting experience required.
• Ability to shoot stories, highlights and interviews as needed.
