As a Security Officer for TQL, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and safety of the premises by monitoring access, screening visitors, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals entering the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle security incidents effectively and professionally.

What you'll be doing

• Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor and control access to the premises by verifying identification and issuing visitor badges or access cards.
• Answer incoming calls and inquiries, provide information and assistance to callers and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security threats promptly.
• Collaborate with other security personnel and building staff to address security concerns and maintain a cohesive security operation.
• Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or security breaches, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and courteously.
• Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security vulnerabilities to the appropriate authorities or building management.

What you need

• Availability to work between the hours of 11pm-7am Wednesday through Sunday
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\'s degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, security, or a related field is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using office equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
