Job Description

If you are a Maintenance Technician looking for an opportunity on 3rd shift (11p - 7:30a) with a growing company, this role is for you.

1. Perform needed repairs on equipment as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
2. Maintain a safe work environment while performing maintenance tasks.
3. Notify the Supervisor and/or production group leader upon completion of tasks.
4. Perform all assigned tasks and work orders with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
5. Complete all maintenance logs, work orders, and other documentation clearly and legibly.
6. Assist engineering in prototype projects, process improvement projects, and engineering changes.
7. Participate in daily housekeeping and other cleaning and organizing activities to maintain a clean work environment.
8. Advise the Supervisor of low inventory levels of supplies and components.
9. Assist all departments with mechanical and electrical needs.
10. Participate in Kaizen events and lean manufacturing training and implementation.
11. Work with blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs, and molds.
12. Apply knowledge of tool & die design, construction, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, machining, and assembly as needed.
13. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using measuring instruments like dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers.
14. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts.

Job Requirements:

1. Basic knowledge and understanding of most manufacturing equipment in the plant.
2. Competent at diagnosing equipment problems and recommending repairs.
3. Ability to learn and use MVP maintenance software.
4. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow the company code of conduct.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
7. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety-conscious behavior.
8. Knowledge of up to 3-phase 480 Volt electrical systems.
9. Working knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley).
10. Experience with Allen Bradley A/C Drives.
11. Knowledge and/or experience in robot programming.
