A Journeyman Electrician is a licensed professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role typically follows completion of a formal apprenticeship and passing a state licensing exam.

Core Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Inspect electrical components like transformers, circuit breakers, and panels.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients on project specifications.
