What You’ll Do
Administer, procure, monitor, and evaluate client medications.
Serve as a consultant on medical and health-related issues under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Accurately document medical treatments and health status in individual records to ensure continuity of care and support treatment team decision-making.
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment programs and nursing care plans for residents.
Actively participate in team meetings as assigned.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and designated clinical staff regarding resident care and program-related concerns.
Supervise and/or provide direct assistance with residents’ activities of daily living and self-care tasks as directed.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required;
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred .
At least one year of experience in a residential setting and in medication administration, preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with staff and residents from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to carry out both physical and non-physical interventions in alignment with CMH guidelines and Behavioral Management Plans, including the physical capability to safely restrain clients when necessary (independently or with team support).
