Your Role - Essential Responsibilities
Safely load, secure, transport, and offload vehicles between our locations, auctions, vendors, and logistics centers using a company-assigned car hauler.
Ensure timely and precise delivery of vehicles to support inventory management and enhance customer satisfaction.
Operate your equipment with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, maintaining a well-kept truck and trailer.
Comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations and CarMax policies related to commercial vehicle operations, including thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Represent CarMax with professionalism in interactions with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Qualifications and Requirements
Valid state-issued Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
At least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience is necessary. Military driving experience with Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicles will also be considered.

A valid state-issued Class A CDL. At least 2 years of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driving experience at CarMax (non-Class A experience is acceptable). No preventable safety incidents in the past 2 years (validated by the Safety & Compliance Team).
Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years; candidates must meet CarMax's Driver Safety Evaluation criteria. Ability to meet all DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements. Capacity to lift heavy objects and winch transported vehicles during loading operations. Experience operating a 10-speed transmission. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
