About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho Certifications: Current BLS certification required, ACLS within 12 months of hire Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment and demonstrate patience Ability to work in a busy, stressful work environment Experience in patient care and maintaining a professional demeanor Description: The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge and skills acquired through nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with all necessary providers on an ongoing basis. The RN responds to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the nursing process for patients across the lifespan: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Documents thoroughly as care is delivered, ensuring compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements. Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others. Practices in a clinical environment through the application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations. Interpersonal verbal communication skills and advanced math skills are necessary. Creativity, problem analysis, teamwork, and decision-making skills are essential. Experience with electronic medical records software is preferred. The RN must be capable of providing care and managing a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to sepsis, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, and trauma. The RN is expected to perform various essential clinical skills, including but not limited to administering blood products, managing IVs, and providing wound care. The role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
