About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Motivated and experienced labor and delivery nurses Experience working in a team-based unit Experience with Labor (Vaginal), C Sections, and Multiple births Description: We are looking for registered nurses with a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery. First-time travelers are not accepted. The patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults. The unit handles labor (vaginal), C-sections, and multiple births. Nurses are expected to manage conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1-2. The unit has 16 labor and delivery beds with an average daily census of 15. Familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Scrub color will be provided by the facility. Availability for three weekend shifts per contract is required. Nurses will be required to take calls for AM and PM shifts. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, nurses are expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, nurses are expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, nurses are expected to work two of them. Full compliance with requirements is necessary to start on time. Compliance documentation must be completed promptly. Two supervisory references from previous managers are preferred for submission. Applications must include mandatory pre-application fees for privileging candidates. Candidates must submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract. Locals accepted on the same terms as traveling nurses.
