The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for conducting routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. This role involves developing maintenance schedules, diagnosing and repairing issues, installing new equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.

Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Navigate, maintain, and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve efficiency.

Conduct all work in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.

Essential Skills

Electrical troubleshooting, including 3 phase motors and 480v systems.

PLC troubleshooting with or without a laptop, including reading inputs and outputs.

Ability to read electrical schematics.

Experience with AC/DC motors and VFDs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Industrial maintenance experience.

Mechanical troubleshooting of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Experience repairing gear boxes, bearings, and chain-driven conveyors.

Understanding of low voltage (24v) systems.

Work Environment

This role is set in an automotive manufacturing environment with a shift schedule of 6:30pm to 7:00am, including a pattern of 3 days on, 4 days off, followed by 4 days on, 4 days off. Tools are provided, and there is a requirement for a fit test and clean-shaven appearance once a year. Employees receive a night shift differential once moved to the schedule.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
