About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: State RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum of every other weekend availability - Epic charting system experience required Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have a background in handling a variety of emergency medical situations. Applicants should be proficient in managing patient care for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. A strong understanding of patient ratios in the emergency department setting is essential, with a ratio of 4 patients per nurse. Experience with trauma care at both Level I and Level II facilities is preferred. The role involves responding to a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to gunshot wounds and traumatic brain injuries. Candidates should be familiar with protocols for administration of medications and treatments, including blood products, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation. The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is critical. Candidates will be expected to participate in ongoing assessments and evaluations of patient conditions. A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care is a fundamental aspect of this role. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities as needed.
