SENIOR POSTGRESQL DEVELOPER

***POSITION IS ONSITE IN NORCO, CA*** Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Developer to join our team in Norco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases to support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across our systems. As with any position, additional expectations exist. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and schemas Develop and optimize complex queries, functions, and stored procedures Perform database performance tuning and troubleshoot issues Implement replication, partitioning, indexing, and backup strategies Ensure database security and compliance with organizational standards Collaborate with developers, architects, and system admins to support application needs Provide mentorship and guidance on database best practices Basic Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development and administration Strong knowledge of schema design, indexing, and query optimization Experience with replication, partitioning, and clustering strategies Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting database bottlenecks Solid experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team Secret Security Clearance Required U.S. Citizenship Required If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered Preferred Qualifications Experience with other databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes C
