Job Summary:

As a Perishable Goods Receiver, your primary responsibility will be to safely, accurately, and efficiently count and receive products into our warehouse management system (WMS), facilitating the selection and distribution process for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance
• Train and mentor other team members
• Accurately receive products and complete necessary paperwork
• Monitor product temperatures and report discrepancies to a supervisor
• Inspect the condition of pallets and make exchanges when necessary
• Quickly report damages and inventory discrepancies to supervisors
• Uphold cleanliness in dock and facility areas
• Wrap and stack pallets for safe transport to storage
• Load and unload products as needed
• Adhere to all food safety and housekeeping standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; college coursework or related experience preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus
• Ability to prioritize tasks while remaining calm and focused
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English
• Ability to interpret label data
• Able to read small print with or without corrective lenses
• Capable of following directions via headset systems (e.g., VoCollect)
• Flexible schedules to accommodate customer needs including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

• Independently lift items up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse environment
• Grasp, reach, push, or pull items such as boxes and hand trucks regularly
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures, including temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
• Comfortable working in a noisy warehouse environment
• Wear and communicate through headsets for extended periods
• Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during work
• Handle products that may contain allergens such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.

As part of our commitment to transparency, the salary for this position ranges from $22.50 to $27.00, based on various non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
