Job Title: Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Project Manager

Location: Hampstead, MD (Supporting Maryland & Washington, DC Markets)

Position Overview

A growing low voltage contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead its Commercial Low Voltage and Structured Cabling division. This role requires strong technical expertise in structured cabling systems, exceptional project management skills, and a proven ability to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will bring an existing client base, have experience in education and healthcare construction projects, and be ready to lead projects across the Maryland and DC markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial low voltage and structured cabling installation projects from start to finish.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; use your network to generate new business.
• Lead sales efforts and business development initiatives to grow revenue and market share.
• Oversee departmental operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, job costs, and profitability.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with NEC, BICSI, and applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Manage low voltage construction projects in schools, hospitals, and other commercial environments.
• Provide regular reporting on project and department performance to company leadership.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience managing commercial low voltage and structured cabling projects.
• Proven success in business development and maintaining customer relationships.
• Experience leading multiple projects and field teams in the commercial construction sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling, low voltage systems, and related technologies.
• Direct experience with school and healthcare construction environments.
• Proficiency in managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• BICSI certification(s) strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Based in or able to work from Hampstead, MD, with travel throughout Maryland and DC.
