Our client, a leading firm in the engineering and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Structures to oversee and manage structural projects from concept through completion. This role involves technical supervision, design oversight, client liaison, and project profitability management. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure successful project delivery.
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay: $140k-$150k/annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise technical professionals including engineers, planners, scientists, technicians, and subconsultants.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee the development of project documents and reports in compliance with industry standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control and assurance procedures.
- Participate in public presentations, client meetings, and proposal development.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and promote cross-disciplinary coordination.
- Maintain project records and ensure proper archiving per company policies.
- Stay current with industry trends, software, and methodologies.
- Support financial management tasks and assist senior leadership as needed.
- Represent the firm in professional societies and industry events.
- Foster client relationships and promote the firm's technical capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) License (required).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
